Quality & care

Quality is built into everything we do

Our reputation rests on insisting on quality in the areas that matter most to the people in our care.

Quality of staff

Caring, appropriately trained staff, supported and supervised by on-site and Head Office management teams.

Quality of training

Ongoing training and development, recognised by our Investors in People award — first achieved in 2005 and updated since.

Quality, comfortable homes

Well-maintained homes in attractive surroundings, chosen and cared for so people feel genuinely at home.

Our Residents' Charter

Every person in our care can expect that we will:

  • Work closely with service users to ensure quality of life, independence and the maintenance of privacy and dignity.
  • Provide a key worker who will help and support them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Provide support with financial budgeting, domestic tasks and the maintenance of their health.
  • Work with the service user on an agreed, structured care plan alongside their care manager.
  • Consult with carers, relatives, friends and advocates — involving outside agencies as appropriate — to fully assess needs.
  • Ensure all interests are dealt with confidentially at all times.
  • Provide an escort to and from reviews or doctors' appointments if required.
  • Respect service users' wishes at all times, in line with CQC guidelines and the service users' charter of our governing bodies.
  • Respond immediately to a request for assistance in an emergency — with a 24-hour on-call service in addition to on-site staff.
  • Provide care by appropriately trained staff, supported and supervised by on-site and Head Office management.
