About us

Nearly 40 years of caring in Kent

One of the major providers of mental health residential care in Kent and the South East — founded and led by a practising GP.

Welcome House Residential Care Homes has been providing care for people with mental health problems — including some with learning disabilities — since 1986, and is one of the major providers in Kent and the South East.

Our founder is an extremely well-respected practising General Practitioner, who is committed to excellence in mental health and actively participates in the care of our extended family.

Our group consists of 93 beds across 8 homes — ranging from small 3-bedded units to a 26-bedded home — located in Gravesend, Rochester, Gillingham, Rainham and Newington near Sittingbourne. All are easily accessible by rail, road and bus, giving service users a choice of facility to suit their care needs.

All our homes are registered with the Care Quality Commission.

Comfortable, well-maintained homes — many characterful Victorian and Edwardian properties set in attractive gardens.

Individual respect

Everyone is respected and treated as an individual, with support to develop personal and social relationships.

Person-centred plans

A key worker for every service user, and an agreed care plan developed with their care manager.
